A live performance recorded at a Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser in Montebello Park, Ontario, Canada…on a balmy Saturday afternoon, alongside a great cause and a great crowd.

Warm and fuzzy, like shoes in the dryer. Using JFM’s old press n play sampler as his DJ tool - no cross fading, beat matching or previewing. The sampler has half a dozen different banks which are loaded with songs I’ve ripped straight from the internet onto the machine. The key to it all is the tiny list of all the tracks on a piece of paper I keep on hand as a legend. As always the mix is a dubby and rough around the edges, but it’s got heart, love and big emotions.
“Since 2010 I’ve been producing and releasing tracks under my given initials, JFM. The project is based around using only my trusty and crusty old sampler for both the creation and performance of the music. I’ve been lucky to publish a pile of physical and digital releases on different record labels across the globe, and contributions to compilations of all formats. Supporting that material with short tours and festival appearances, as well one gigs at; skateparks, bongshops, multiple botanical gardens, rogue rooftop, Saturday morning market, an even awkward music video for a car company.” Jesse Matthews, aka JFM
