Our good friend Maria delivers the goods with a swagtech-esque blend of bass music, breaks, techno, house and electro!

Micaia is a mythical and innovative bird that explores the limits in a liberating space of its own creation.

Passion for music was awakened during childhood in Mozambique, where the first musical roots were established. She has a broad appetite for different musical styles and a curiosity for new elements - created through producing events and cultural gatherings that exude sustainable art in the creative practice.

The mix showcases Micaia’s story - most importantly, starting off with a recording of her African-grey parrot. The idea for the Micaia alias came from this special animal - a super free spirit in the studio, always singing on the top of a live act that she was developing at the time… “So I decided to start recording her on the top of the live act and the idea was to launch the live act with me, Maria, who hadn’t created my artist name yet at that time, and Micaia my parrot. Unfortunately she died and this never happened but I decided to reincarnate Micaia and since then I’m Djing under this name and will launch the live act soon when I feel it is the right time to evolve from the heart break. For now I would like to share the start and ending of this set with Micaia signing. Micaia will always be in my creative process as an artist.”
