Milly on Air is a Bristol based DJ who’s ever evolving, euphoric, bass driven and cosmic selections span genres, eras and tempos. Having absorbed a multiverse of influences from a life spent in the rave and working in the music industry she was inspired to step out from behind the scenes and claim her rightful place on the decks after attending an all female & nb music workshop in 2017. Since then she’s hosted regular radio shows on Threads, Melodic Distraction and now Noods, and bought her unique blend of wonky club music to festivals and clubs all over the UK and beyond including Glastonbury, Cosmic Roots, Shambala, Wilderness, Meadow in the Mountains, Strange Brew and The Cause to name a few. She put on her first club night whilst still too young to legally attend and over the years there have been many more along the way, last year she co-founded forward thinking Bristol party series Freeform. By day she works as a podcast and radio producer curating The Residency on BBC Radio 1 where she’s made shows for Eris Drew & Octo Octa, HAAi, Or:la, Joy Orbison, Sherelle, LCY, Elkka, The Blessed Madonna and too many others to mention. Milly is also a passionate mental health advocate and hosts a cult podcast about healing and creativity called ‘Back 2 Lifeâ€.
”I wanted to focus on creating a mood and sense of momentum, kicking off with warm atmospheric breaks and hypnotic feels, building up the bpm, tripping through progressive house, psychedelic techno and bass driven club music from some of my favourite producers of the moment. I’ve peppered the mix with a subliminal messages about spirituality and uplifting ravey moments, focussed on creating a deep cosmic and euphoric experience for the listener or dancer. I feel I’ve been in a process of refining my style recently and I’ve also been on buying loads of incredible music so I’m really happy to have an opportunity to showcase a taster of some of the sounds that are exciting me most right now.”
