”A selection that means something special to me, mixed with some recent and exclusive sounds from my Rednetic Label. Starting with a Mobb Deep, Ebi & Cyan341 mashup that introduces Aaamyyy and ends with Charisma.com. That first one is just a simple loop I took from the Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt. II track, but that in no way diminishes in my eyes the essential place it has in the history of hip hop. I loved Timbaland productions especially for Aaliyah so the Kelly Lee Owens track is a nod to that and great in its own right. Ebi is Susumu Yokata in his early Techno guise and is the only artist to appear twice here and despite the tracks being from a while ago they are the essence of Akira and Acid Techno formed into one, so deep. Also the mix includes a few tracks from my label, including a track from a remix album of the recent Zainetica release - Transmission Vectors and an exclusive from Cyn341 out later this year - Morphine Parts 1 & 2.”
