Raw, funky grime badness from producer, DJ and MC; Jakebob!

Hailing from the rural market town of Leominster, Jakebob has quickly become one of his area’s most high-profile musical exports. Recently heralded by heavyweight DJ Logan Sama as “the most on job producer in grime”, the multi-talented 25-year-old can also MC and DJ, frequently impressing with his distinctive styles in all three fields.

The Herefordshire star’s debut album Titan dropped earlier in 2019 to great critical acclaim, and even earned Mixmag’s coveted ‘Album of the Month’ title. Released via Brighton bass label Southpoint – with whom Jakebob has been closely affiliated for a number of years now – it saw him vocal three tracks himself, and also featured a prestigious co-production from the ever in-demand Filthy Gears.

Jakebob’s ambitious collaborations don’t end there. His recent production credits include an entire EP for emerging R&B singer SUTTY, another EP for inimitable barrer Popzzy English, and tracks for the likes of Razor and D Power. With songs like “Hymn List” already serving as undeniable staples in the arsenal of many a DJ, it’s clear that Jakebob’s takeover is just getting started.
