We first met DJ Guy when we invited him to play for our 2nd Anniversary party in Bristol well over a year ago now. His set and aura was amazing, meaning a mix series invitation was a must!

As always, he here mixes a wide range of styles, challenging the listener wherever possible.

Blending vastly contrasting styles is something that has always interested him and gives him the most enjoyment when he’s DJing out. Playing music from across the spectrum, traveling through time and space to hopefully create something unique.

”I’ve been mixing since around 1984 and originally got interested in HipHop and Electro via the Streetsounds compilations. I started DJing in clubs in 1990 and have continued to play out ever since. In 1992 I began making techno and experimental ambient music using some basic equipment (Amiga computer mainly) and have continued to make music ever since.

In 2014 I was given a great opportunity to release an EP on the Glasgow based ‘ALL CAPS’ label and have since gone on to release music on CEJEREO, NORD, ORGANIC ANALOGUE, HYPERCOLOUR, LA BEAUTE DU NEGATIF and most recently FUTURE PRIMITIVE.

I’m especially excited about 2018 as I’m planning to launch my own label and start releasing music produced by myself and also from friends around the world.”
