As Dmitrij told us…”I’ve wanted to record a techno mix for a long time, but somehow each time it was never quite what I wanted. I’m not a fan of preparing mixes and records for it. I enjoy the quick digging while recording, so if I screw up, I usually start with different tracks the next time. I’m also tired with whole Berlin techno hype around Prague, so I wanted to play something that avoid that. As one meme may say: ‘When I mix techno, I always include some DJ Spider’“.

dMIT.RY has been part of the Czech (mainly Prague) club scene for more than 8 years. Always representing the fresh club sound and new influences, but at the same time respecting the roots of house & techno. His passion with music leads to very different sets each time, so you can see him spinning classic deep house one day, and the next night killing Cross Club basement with raw electro or bass tracks.
Cross Club has been his resident club for more than two years now, where he hosts his MUTATIONS night. Names like Beneath, Koehler, Epoch & Etch, Paris and Wen have shared the stage with him there. Apart from Cross Club, you can also catch dMIT.RY in cosy Groove Bar, one of Prague’s best hangout spots for those who like to have great DJs around while sipping their warm-up drinks.
Neo Violence is another important project launched by dMIT.RY - a platform for discovering new club music and the culture around it. In the last two years, it has turned into a record label, releasing digital EPs of exciting new producers from around the globe. It’s latest news is that there is a first label sampler coming out on vinyl in August. Keep your eyes peeled!
