For this Loose Lips mix series, Unfixed & Broken have prepared a heavily disco and funk influenced tracklist. They’ve blended it with soul-ridden house and broken beat, spanning tracks from the last 40 or so years of uplifting grooves.

Unfixed & Broken are a electronic music duo based in London. Growing up in Portugal and moving to the UK in the early 2000s, they have established themselves as jungle/drum’n’bass dj’s and producers under the alias Hi Fidel Cartel. Unfixed & Broken represents a new direction which showcases the art of DJing and producing across different tempos and genres, encompassing the soulful tones of house and disco, the nuances of broken beats and the hypnotic side of techno. Their debut EP “Your Woman” is out on Portuguese label 1980 and they have recently signed to Manchester-based Development Music.
