This week’s addition to our mix series represents a story; a search for clarity in a melancholic mind. Two stirring tracks of Nicolas Jaar come at the beginning, as well as the end. As the journey begins with more subtle and shy, yet strong and mysterious emotions, it moves onto a wider, melodious interpretation, never losing it’s dualistic concern.

November 2006 was the starting point of this little Belgian lady’s dj journey. Inspired by the often surprising profundity of electronic music and the uplifting feeling that different performances affected her with, Yentl crawled behind those decks. Since then she had great pleasure on this adventurous path. Almost 10 years and about 1000 exciting experiences later she’s still discovering and refining her style to the courant, distinctive minimalistic flows she’s playing today. The most important thing for her is to express familiar human emotions about melancholy, duality and chaos in the music she plays., and to collectively enjoy and dance to it as a therapeutic exercise.
