Early 2000’s Brighton techno was a huge influence for Joris Kamma, aka Phaedrus. “So much of that music was ahead of its time. I’ve moved on since, but will always have a soft spot for deep and quirky sounds combined with a strong groove. As for this podcast, I’ve chosen a little bit of everything: older and newer tracks, local and international artists, deep and dancefloor sounds, quirky and moody moments. Enjoy!”

Phaedrus is the moniker of Dutch DJ and producer Joris Kamma. His love for electronic music developed in the early nineties, with the rise of house and techno. In particular its raw energy and unorthodox character inspired him to pick up DJ-ing and producing. In the Netherlands, Kamma was a regular guest at underground radio station Tonka and played a variety of DJ sets & live sets at various events. In 2010 Joris relocated to Seattle, joining the ranks of Cascadian techno. He is currently involved with local record label Peloton Musique, which releases a wide range of fresh and exciting electronica.
