In a very Loose Lips like way, Those That Can’t offers up this week’s mix, exploring a variety of his different influences. Everything from echoed ambience to amazing world music and trippy acid.

Those That Can’t is Sean McGlade. In 1988, Sean was playing bass in a band called Omotron; then Acid House came along.
All guitars were abandoned and dance music fully embraced.
In 1990 he sold his guitars, bought some decks and started DJing at parties and then clubs like Naked Lunch, The Real McCoys and Fuel at London Bridge.
In the mid 90’s he joined techno band Innersphere (Outer Works - Sabrette Records) as their on-stage DJ, spinning mad montages in-between and over the top of live tracks. A couple of highlights include Megadog’s 10th Birthday at Brixton Academy and headlining at Megadog New Year Party at Club Ancienne in Belgium.
It was around this time Sean also started working at Intergroove Distribution, which specialised in labels like Tortured, Music Man, Pounding Grooves and Low Pressings. After a few years at Intergroove, he went on to work at Prime Distribution which specialised in labels like Drumcode, Hybrid, Cosmic, Jericho and Primate. During this time he was resident DJ at Altitude Tech-Electro nights, whilst also playing at clubs like Release in Portsmouth and Trancecentral. After a few years at Prime, he went on to become a buyer at the Record and Tape Exchanges Soul and Dance shop in Notting Hill.
Around the mid 00’s, Sean hung up his headphones to train for a new career but continued buying vinyl and got back into playing instruments, 2015 being the year that he finally finished some of his projects as Those That Can’t.
