José Acid is the new alias of the Portuguese dj / producer João Ervedosa. Here, he offers us up an hour of hysteria; crazy acid lines, raw beats and hypnotic melodies.

His first contact with a DJ setup happened at age 15, and that’s when he decided to buy his own turntables and mixer - and started producing his own beats.
José Acid’s DJ and live sets are a hypnotic blend of rave, acid house, techno and jungle. He has showcased that in several performances in clubs and festivals around Portugal. In late 2008, he moved to Barcelona, where he stayed for two years and studied music production at SAE Institute. Now based in Portugal again, he’s focused on his work as a digital/sound designer and music producer of both original compositions and remixes.
His first record, “10000 Anos Depois Da Raveâ€, came out in 2015 on the Portuguese label 1980. This EP was recorded during hours of hardware-led improvisation in the studio and was rewarded with a romantic tracey remix by the Lisbon-via-London rave don Photonz.
In 2015 he started ParaÃso, his own record label / club night / radio show, that celebrates the music that one day was called “underground house music from a paradise called portugalâ€: the next step on making his own vision of dance music materialise on a new and exciting platform.
