DJ Soda-Stream is the mastermind behind the Soft Drinks parties and accompanying radio show on Peckham’s Balamii. Expect to hear from him techno with lots of groove and tribal flavours and just an all round party vibe. If you like what you hear, catch him playing at Jaded this Sunday morning and down at the Deptford Bunker for our party there on October 2nd.
We asked him for a quick description of the mix and so here it is:
I’ve tried to bring together in this mix an overview of the kind of stuff you would typically hear me play out. All of the tracks included here had a big impact on me when I first heard them and continue to do so. Common features throughout are bucketloads of groove and percussion as well as a smattering of weird vocal snippets. I’ve even included an unreleased Villalobos track which can only be found in his fabric mix CD. I hope everyone enjoys listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed making it.
