This week’s non-musical prescription: Outdoor swimming. If you’re hardy, hit a lake or reservoir. For warmer dips, find a heated lido. Trust me – it’s sanity insurance if lockdowns return.

Now, the real goods: A label I’ve been bursting to share – 4NCY, helmed by PAV4N (formerly Foreign Beggars’ frontman Pavan Mukhi).

Rewind to our earlier chat about Pavan’s first label venture, Dented Records – that wild ride supporting UK Hip Hop’s golden era (Task Force, Ed Skrein, Stig of the Dump). Same fiery vision fuels 4NCY today: carving pathways for the extraordinary.

This new platform grew organically – artists, creatives and ops crew united by one goal: amplifying global underground talent. Some collaborators date back to Foreign Beggars days; others are fresh faces drawn to the mission. However they arrive, they’re joining a sonic vanguard – where artistry eclipses algorithms.

Your gateway drug: Killswsh’s electrifying debut album ‘Girl’. The title track? A mood-altering cocktail of:

  • Icy, soul-drenched vocals
  • Sparse, sensual production
  • Electropop with R&B’s heartbeat
  • Hints of rock’s edge

It’s future R&B reimagined – darkly sweet, dangerously addictive. I’m obsessed with how those vocals glide over the production like moonlight on asphalt.

Dive deeper at 4ncurrency.com – the growing catalog is a Sunday well spent.

Stay wavy, Jammers.
